Partners

In 2019, we began forming partnerships with various private schools and community centers.  In 2023, we brought our programs to AISD, WAYA, and Girls' School of Austin.  We look forward to collaborating with more local partners to get kids creating with technology and appreciating the power of logic and critical thinking with technology and coding.  Please contact us if you are interested in partnership!

Why Partner With Us

Teaching Philosophy

Our view is that using software and websites to learn STEM skills, whether face-to-face or online, is like using books or videos.  Print and electronic media can be effective but should ideally be supplemented with live instruction. Teachers and mentors will have the biggest impact and be the most positive influence in a child’s STEM journey. To that end, we keep student-teacher ratios low and hire coders on our team, people who love to code and who were or are being trained in Computer Science or related disciplines. Our instructors range from UT students studying Computer Science to professional software developers and consultants who want to pass it on.

It's fun to create something out of nothing, solving problems with digital solutions!  Learning to code or learning Digital Arts requires building projects that introduce new principles and building more projects to reinforce those concepts. We use various platforms - not only websites but robots such as Ozobot and Makeblock, micro controllers such as Arduino and single-board computers like Raspberry Pi - to put programming into practice while focusing on learning different languages such as Python, Java, Javascript, and C++.

We also teach broader STEM topics such as animation, chess, and robotics.  While these topics may not require coding, they teach students to solve problems.  Technology and math are tools to nurture a students' logic, creative and critical thinking skills.  While there are many STEM programs online, we are uniquely set up to help students expand their horizons and to participate in a community that is passionate and motivated.  See our FAQ on what makes us different, from full-size monitors to a physical location in our community.  If you are in Austin, stop by and try our 3D Printer!
