Q: Where will the Tech Crew Consulting sessions take place?
A: We offer tech support virtually or in person at our studio: 3616 Far West Blvd, Austin, TX 78731.

Q: How long do the sessions last?
A: Time is charged in 30 minute increments and the length depends on your needs. You can schedule multiple sessions if additional help is needed.

Q: How do you charge for this service?
A: The cost is $75/hr and is charged in 30 minute increments. This means the minimum cost to engage with a consultant is $37.50.

Q: What are some examples of consulting engagements that you have participated in?
A: We have helped a senior with his mobile phone and a parent set up a printer. We have also helped a young man understand code generated by his AI software and performed some research on how to build a type of mobile app. Other examples of projects that we might help with are photo organization or password management. We can also help with AI prompts.​​

Q: Who are your consultants and what are their qualifications?
A: Our consultants are UT students and young adults who grew up troubleshooting technology issues and often supporting their families. They are resourceful and will help with tech tasks that you don't want to do. They are background-checked and teach in local schools so they are reliable and dedicated.

Q: What is the process of hiring a consultant?​​
A: Please fill out our contact form and provide the problem you are having or the task you would like help with. After we receive your information, we will review and find a member of the Tech Crew that can help. You will receive an e-mail or phone call asking you more questions or finding a time that would work to meet our consultant.

Q: Do you compete with Best Buy's Geek Squad?
A: Tech Crew is not our main service but we found that our community would like help with technology so we now offer consulting help to engage our smart and talented instructors. We are a small local team of people in Austin who work with children and want to help our community.
